Aluminum Railings for Outside Basement Stairs
Aluminum railings is what this Mississauga homeowner wanted from us. She had an excavated basement entrance stairway with no guardrails or handrails. This kind of guardrail is not optional as the Ontario Building Code requires it. The homeowner loved the aluminum railings Adept Services installed on the porch of the neighbours and so requested that we put in the same type of railing at her basement entrance.
The colour chosen was black and the pickets were 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches straight design and the railing height was 36 inches. Since this installation occurred in the winter, we had to choose as good a day as possible for weather and temperature. When that day came, the installation went without a hitch.
This installation was only possible due to careful preparations prior to installation. The measurements had to be accurate, and a drawing was done so that everything was made according to the measurements. Care was taken too not to scratch the shiny finish on the aluminum railings.
The result is quite impressive, and the homeowner was delighted. We are in the works for future interior projects with this homeowner, and we look forward to surpassing her already favorable expectations.
